The Hoover Dam

Located in the Black Canyon of the Colorado River, the Hoover Dam is made out of 3,250,000 cubic yards of concrete. After pouring ceased in 1935, 1,110,000 cubic yards of concrete were used for the power plant. The Hoover Dam monument concrete was created to create Lake Mead during the Great Depression. During its time, this was one of the largest concrete projects in the country!

Willis Tower
